Matthew Miller, MD is a fellowship-trained cataract surgeon and glaucoma specialist serving Colorado Springs and Pueblo. He performs routine and complex cataract surgery and offers advanced technology intraocular lenses — including toric, extended depth-of-focus, multifocal, and Light Adjustable Lens options — to provide excellent vision and reduce patients’ dependence on glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Miller also provides the full spectrum of glaucoma diagnosis and management with medical, laser, and surgical treatments, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and traditional procedures. He also has extensive training in comprehensive eye care and treats a wide variety of eye conditions.

A Utah native, Dr. Miller completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Utah, where, as a medical student, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic excellence, and his research efforts were recognized by the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. He then completed his internship, ophthalmology residency, and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Iowa, a nationally recognized leader in ophthalmology. During fellowship, he received the Fellow Teaching Award from University of Iowa medical students. He remains actively involved with the University of Iowa, where he regularly teaches cataract surgery to resident physicians. His research includes multiple publications on the genetics of glaucoma.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
